Bosse Funeral Home, Louisville, KY

Operating and serving the metro Louisville community for more than 150 years, Bosse Funeral Home, originally named H. Bosse and Brothers Undertakers, was erected by three brothers: Joseph, Ben, and Henry Bosse. By trade, the family built cabinets. During the Civil War, the brothers designed coffins for the Union government to bury sick and wounded soldiers. In 1908, Henry Bosse Jr. became the general manager of the funeral home with his son, Robert Bosse, following in his footsteps in 1943.
