Remembering Sheryle Ann Hickel (née Albright)
Sheryle was born on January 17, 1962, in Tacoma, Washington, and grew up primarily in Enumclaw. She carried an unwavering passion for life and a love of meeting new people. Her optimism was a defining part of who she was, and even through difficult times, she continued to look for the good in life.
Throughout the years, Sheryle faced addiction and personal hardships. Those struggles were part of her story, but they did not define her. Those who knew her will remember her remarkable positivity, her openness to others, and her ability to remain hopeful despite the challenges she faced. It would have been difficult to meet anyone with a more enduringly optimistic outlook.
Sheryle is survived by her daughter, Jenny Hickel, of Tacoma, Washington.
May she be remembered with love and compassion—for her hopeful spirit, her enthusiasm for life, and the connections she made along the way.
